Đurđica Čilić was born in 1975 in Livno and grew up in Vitez in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She graduated with a degree in Croatian and Polish studies from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, where she also got her masters and doctoral degrees. She works at the Department of Polish language and literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb. Čilić writes scientific works about Polish literatures of 19^th and 20^th centuries. She is the author of the scientific study about Polish literature of 20^th century Tri lica autora. Miłosz, Różewicz i Herbert. She translated from Polish, mostly contemporary poetry.
