Magnhild Winsnes (1980) is an award-winning Norwegian animator and illustrator. She worked as an animator, director and producer on several animated films, most notably Oscar-winning animated short film “The Danish Poet” directed by Torill Kove. In 2017 she published her first young adult graphic novel “Shhh” which won a variety of prestigious awards in Norway and the region. The book has won a Norwegian Critics’ Prize for Best Children’s and YA Book 2017. In 2019 she illustrated a young adult book “Jenteboka. Nina og Ellens guide til puberteten” for which she was awarded the Norwegian Ministry of Culture’s First Book Prize 2017.

Hanna spends every summer at her uncle with the cousin Siv, who is her age, and older Metter. But Siv has changed compared to last year. She is no longer interested in counting crabs and bugs they catch; she is instead interested in her older sister Mette’s adventures: boys, going out and parties.
